Rodger Scott Gerhard (16 March, 1960 – 11 December, 2014) was an American business magnate, software engineer, film and television producer, philanthropist and novelist. He was the Chairman of The Gerhard Organization from 2002 until his death in 2014, and was also the founder and owner of the newspaper The Miami Envoy, and the English newspaper Citizen.

Born to hotelier Euguene Gerhard and Associated Crackers heiress Elena Chase in 1960, Rodger established his first shop in 1977, and was the chairman of the O'Toole Company while still in college. With little financial help from his mother, he set up Slinger in 1999, an audio piracy tool developed by Drew Street, and by the time of Slinger's closure in 2006, Gerhard became a millionaire, while Street was left penniless. Gerhard also founded Auto Account, a company which provides accountancy services to small-scale companies using an algorithm he developed, and by the end of the dot com bubble, Gerhard was worth nearly $250 million.

Gerhard was shot and killed by Matthew Altman on December 11, 2014 when Gerhard was visiting Las Vegas to celebrate the 18th birthday of his youngest daughter, Calyce van der Vlis, who was acquitted of all charges relating to the death of Sally Altman. Calyce survived an attempt on her life by Sally's other brother, David Altman.
