The Governorate of Neuva Catalonia, also known as Gobernación de Nueva Catalonia or alternatively as New Catalonia was a Spanish governorate located in Central and parts of Southern America.
The Governorate was founded in 1506 with Pedro Javier de Ojeda as it's governor. In 1521, King Charles V reorganized the area, thus replacing the governorate with the Viceroyalty of New Catalonia.
