The Altivebrio Defense Forces are the military forces of the Union of Altivebrio. The ADF consists of an airforce, ground force and a navy. It's Supreme Commander is the President of Altivebrio, while the ADF is headed by the Chief of Army Staff.
After the Third Altivebrio War ended in 1946, newly-appointed President Esteban Cárdeno began the depuración of the country's armed forces, the Altivebrio Revolutionary Army, and detained and executed it's fascist sympathizers. The Army Act, 1947 was passed on 8 February, 1947, replacing the Revolutionary Army with the Altivebrio Defense Forces. The ADF was smaller than the ARA, and specialized in defense instead of offense, and received international aid, especially from the United States.
