The 2012 Marsel prisoner abuse scandal was an alleged scandal involving the Alconbrian Minister of Arts and Culture Rerdi Llovez and the Chief Warden of the Marsel prison, Troisa Hatten. Pictures were released, showing both the women sexually abusing a man in the Warden's private room in the said prison during the 2012 Metsarbarros unrest.
The main cause of the fury from the Alconbrian public was the abuse of an Alconbrian man by a cabinet minister. Llovez later appeared in a television show and stated that the man wasn't an Alconbrian, but an Altivebrian. She furthered showed his Prisoner ID and Malpuro ID card, calming down the public.
The Central Party leader, Jorge Nardinia staged a protest in Avatoes calling for Llovez' impeachment. Llovez reiterated by travelling to Nardinia's home-town of Sofor Luena, and picked up his two daughters from school and dropped them in his home before he returned from the protest. After he returned home, she gave him 'words of consideration', and then left with her entourage. Nardinia eventually called off his protest. Nardinia was one of the several members of the Central Party imprisoned and executed during the Great Alconbrian Purge of 2013, presumably on Llovez' orders.
Others raised their voices and wanted Llovez to be revoked as a vorti. However, she and religious scholars have ruled out the possibility that she violated any rules of a vortin.
It's unknown what happened to the man, but it is alleged that he spent a few more months in captivity before dying of hard labour.
